How to get Camera Ready

Whether you are getting ready for a family portrait or even a press conference, here are some make up tips to ensure that you are camera ready:
- Start Clean, Refreshed, and Moisturized. Make sure you have a good night sleep and cleanse your face thoroughly. Also, stay moisturized throughout the day. The camera can easily catch dry or oily skin.
- Apply Liquid or Cream Foundation. Pick a full-coverage foundation and apply it to your face and neck. Do not use products with SPF as it will reflect the camera light giving you a white-cast on your skin. Some experts recommend silicone based foundation for that dewy look. MAC Studio collection offers great products for photo shoots. For a smoother finish, apply a facial primer before the foundation.
- Highlight & Contour. Perhaps the most important step in make up, highlight and contouring will accentuate your best features and give you that sculpted look. Use fine shimmer powder or white highlight stick along the bridge of your nose, brow bones, and in the corner of your eyes.
- Apply Bronzer & Blush. Use cream blush on the apple of your cheeks. And dust some matte bronzer on your forehead, chin, and tip of your nose for that warm, healthy glow. Use more color than you normally would because the camera flash will wash out your skin tone.
