Immediately after your procedure, you will likely be able to reapply any sun block, lotion, or make-up before you leave the office should you wish to do so. Some patients choose to return to work immediately afterwards.
In general, you should avoid strenuous activity (such as exercise) for approximately four hours after your liquid facelift. This will reduce any swelling that may occur and also make bruising less likely. If you receive Botox, you should avoid rubbing or massaging the areas that have been treated except as directed by Dr. Chow. You should also refrain from lying flat for four hours after the procedure.
Depending on the specific treatment you receive, you should have different expectations on what may occur. For many liquid facelift patients, however, one concern is the possibility of bruising. In order to reduce your chances of bruising and to hasten the resolution of bruising should it occur, we recommend the use of Arnica Montana before and after your treatment. For those who have not previously had treatments at the Chow Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, we recommend a two week follow-up visit in order to see results of your facial rejuvenation. This appointment can be scheduled before you leave the office. We look forward to meeting you!
