Restylane

restylane-logo.gifDr. Chow is well-versed in an array of fillers specialized for the face. These can be used to provide volume, whether for augmentation (such as the lips or bridge of the nose), restoring youthful contours (deep lines and wrinkles), or touching up depressed scars.

WHY DO WE GET WRINKLES?

As we age, our skin loses volume and elasticity because our skin cells start to divide more slowly which reduces the speed in which our skin is able to repair and renew. Wrinkles start to form with age due to a number of reasons, such as the decrease of fat cells under the outer layer of our skin to fill the gaps created by the damage that occurs in the inner layers of our skin, or simply from sun damage and free radicals in the skin that can also cause wrinkles. To replenish fullness, non surgical options include wrinkle fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra, among others.

The loss of volume due to aging may result in deep creases forming along the nasolabial folds, which extend from either side of the nose to the corners of the mouth, then continue downward to form marionette lines as they frame the chin. For those desiring augmentation of features, such as the bridge of the nose or fuller lips, fillers may also provide a safe, simple alternative to surgery.

A NON SURGICAL WRINKLE FREE SOLUTION

Give natural-looking results by restoring your skin's fullness - "Restylane is injected into the skin to restore volume to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds)." Restylane contains hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance in your skin that provides fullness and elasticity.

Request a Consultation by filling out the form below or by calling 626-447-3223 to discuss these possibilities with Dr. Chow in person. Many lines and depressions on the face can be treated with minimally invasive fillers. There is no extended recovery time, and makeup can be reapplied before leaving the office. Some transient bruising may occur. To reduce the risk of such bruising, avoidance of aspirin, ibuprofen, alleve, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications is recommended. In addition, natural supplements such as ginger, garlic, ginkobelova, and ginseng may increase your risk of bruising.
